Resurfacing project on I-81 in Cumberland County resumes soon, ends in October: PennDOT

Crews will begin working on a resurfacing project on a portion of I-81 in Cumberland County starting March 15, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
The 12.3-mile pavement preservation project includes milling, resurfacing, base repairs, concrete patching, guiderail upgrades, pavement markings, and minor bridge work on I-81 in Southampton, Shippensburg, South Newton, and Penn townships. The work extends from the Franklin County line in Shippensburg Township to the Kutz Road bridge in Penn Township, Cumberland County.
Most of the work will be done overnight, according to PennDOT. The work area stretches from Franklin County to Kutz Road bridge in Penn Township, Cumberland County.
