‘Rawlings is like a meteor who didn t burst into flames like all meteors do’ – Akufo Addo Listen to article President Akufo-Addo has likened the late former President Jerry John Rawlings to a meteor that never burst and disintegrates as all meteors do. He said the former president remained “potent until the very end of its life, leaving strong footprints in the sands of time”. Describing him as an energetic, charismatic and a fearless leader, Akufo Addo says Rawlings showed his true leadership when he stood up before the military trial and took full responsibility for the failed coup attempt whiles asking that his colleagues be let off the hook.
