Samad Osman has been appointed as group chief operating officer. He is responsible for the group’s business development strategy as well as the successful execution of growth plans. Osman joins OMA Group from Hapag-Lloyd, where he served as ceo in Africa. Prior to this he held various managing director positions at the A.P. Møller Mærsk Group. OMA Group appointed Charles Sugden as country manager for the Ivory Coast, effective May 1. The group said that Sugden has been running the office in Senegal for the last year, and his move to the Ivory Coast comes at the “perfect time to push forward ambitious logistics plans in this fast-growing market.”
