Wolfe reappointed to county health board

Zach Wolfe was reappointed to the Crawford County Board of Health for another five-year term. Wolfe was initially appointed to the Board of Health in 2016. He has served as Board of Health Chair since 2019.

The Spring 2021 Crawford County Township Association meeting at the fairgrounds was a collaborative use of audience time on March 30 as it also included the annual meetings from Crawford County Public Health and the Crawford County Engineer’s Office.
Ohio regulations require county health departments to meet annually with the president of the county commissioners, the mayors of each city/village within their jurisdiction, and the president of each board of township trustees within the county. BUCYRUS - GE Lighting has ceased production of A19 LED bulbs at its Bucyrus plant and even discarded equipment used to produce them, but the fight to save jobs at the plant is continuing.
On Tuesday, Will Evans, president of IUE-CWA Local 84704, asked members of Bucyrus City Council to pass a resolution in support of the ongoing efforts. We have not given up on bringing the jobs back and bringing further investment to the plant, Evans said. We want to keep this product line going.
Earlier in the day, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-OH, continued to push for action and advocated on behalf of workers at the plant during a Senate Finance Committee hearing.
NEVADA - After several years of negotiations and planning, the Nevada Village Council on Thursday gave its final approval to an agreement to purchase water from the city of Bucyrus.
The plan, which was approved by Bucyrus City Council on Tuesday night, will involve construction of a water line between the two communities. This is a very good thing for both communities and took a lot to get done, said Bucyrus City Council President Kurt Fankhauser, who attended the Nevada meeting.
Greg Tom Durham, president of Nevada Village Council, said he expects everything will work out just fine for the village.
