A conservation officer with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) died Monday in a northern Minnesota crash.
The DNR said in an announcement the conservation officer was involved in a two-vehicle wreck Monday morning near Grand Rapids. The agency provided few other details, only saying the officer s death was in the line of duty.
The DNR is withholding the officer s name as their family members are notified. The DNR has expressed its deepest condolences to the officer’s family for this tragic loss, and our staff are mourning the loss of one of our own, the agency s announcement said.
St. Paul man killed in crash on Interstate 35 in northern Iowa

A 26-year-old St. Paul man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in northern Iowa.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Mohamud Mohamud was traveling southbound on Interstate 35 near mile marker 203 when he left the roadway, struck cable barriers and then collided with concrete bridge pillars.
The State Patrol said it is unknown what caused him to leave the roadway.
The crash happened in Worth County, which is located along the Minnesota-Iowa border, just south of Albert Lea, Minnesota.
No further information has been released.
Crash kills motorcyclist near Treasure Island casino

A motorcyclist died in a crash near Treasure Island Resort & Casino late Tuesday night.
Red Wing Police Department issued a press release saying the crash happened at 11:56 p.m. at the intersection of Sturgeon Lake Road and NSP Road. Prairie Island Tribal Police responded to the scene, then requested assistance from Red Wing police and fire medics.
The motorcyclist, who has not been identified, was treated at the scene before being transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Red Wing for further care in the emergency department.
State Patrol: 2 dead in late Monday crash in Murray County

Two people were killed in a head-on crash in southwest Minnesota late Monday night.
According to the State Patrol, a Chevy Silverado and a Chevy Impala were traveling in opposite directions on Highway 59 in Murray County when they collided near Lime Lake Drive, just north of the small town of Avoca.
The crash report says the Silverado was going northbound on the highway and the Impala was traveling south when they collided around 10:55 p.m.
Both drivers, a 26-year-old man from Frederick, South Dakota, and a 37-year-old man from Huron, South Dakota, died at the scene.
Driver fatally ejected in St. Paul crash; gun found at the scene

A 23-year-old St. Cloud man died when he was ejected from an SUV in a rollover crash in St. Paul early Monday morning.
The crash was reported at the intersection of Johnson Parkway and Maryland Avenue by a passerby at 12:59 a.m., with the 911 caller reporting that a man was lying in the middle of the road.
Saint Paul Police Department says its officers responded to the scene and found a 23-year-old St. Cloud man unconscious and not breathing. Three officers took turns with chest compressions and life-saving efforts before medics arrived and pronounced the man dead.
