for the future of american democracy in a way that i did not anticipate in the first read through. i think what we are seeing right now are the responses to configuration in our country s demographics that no one alive could have ever anticipated. we do not know what it s like to be in a version of the historic demographics of our country, with one group, the dominating majority group that has been in power and dominant majority for as long as there s been a united states, and the anticipation that the census has set us up for. that by 2042, or 2045, that ahistoric majority would no longer be the majority. we have the first rumblings of that with a 2020 census which indicated, for the first time in american history, the historic wide majority actually fell, it is still the majority
