Accra Hearts of Oak Board member, Alhaji Akambi
Accra Hearts of Oak Board Member, Alhaji Akambi has hinted that he will resign from his post in the next board meeting.
The former chairman of the Accra Hearts of Oak supporters group has on several occasions been named by some fans as the one who has been undermining the progress of the club in the past decade.
They called for his resignation following the exit of head coach Kosta Papic during their protest at the club’s secretariat.
The fans might now get their wish as the Board Member has in an interview with Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio says he will exit before long.
Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, known popularly as Abronye, has denied reports suggesting that he said all Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s appointees are thieves.
According to him, he has no evidence of corruption against the appointees under the Akufo-Addo led administration.
Abronye, on a television show which airs on Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio, had said: “If you’re a Cabinet Minister and you buy a motor bicycle and when it’s time for appointments you start circulating it on Facebook and Whatsapp then it’s worrying because I who did not benefit from the NPP’s first term has even bought cars for people and I didn’t publicize it.”
