Multiple Grama Niladhari Divisions in Kurunegala & Ampara released from Isolation

COLOMBO (News 1st); 63 Grama Niladhari Divisions in the Kuliyapitiya Police area in the Kurunegala District were released from Isolation with effect from Saturday (08), said Army Commander General Shavendra Silva.
However, 19 Grama Niladhari Divisions will continue remain isolated, he said.
The Kuliyapitiya Police Division comprises of 82 Grama Niladhari Divisions.
In addition, the Kumarigama Grama Niladhari Division in the Uhana Police Area in the Ampara District was released from isolation, he added.

Due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus in Sri Lanka again, a request has been extended from the Public Health Inspectors Association.
Association Chairperson Upul Rohana has requested that travel restrictions be imposed during the upcoming weekend. He has extended the request, noting that if action is not taken, the number of COVID infections reported could be increased by twice or thrice.
Meanwhile, Army Commander Shavendra Silva stated that Niraviya Grama Niladhari Division and the Nikadalupotha Grama Niladhari Division in the Wellawa Police Division in the Kumbukgate Police Division in the Kurunegala District will be isolated.
