Agartala (Tripura) [India], December 25 (ANI): Four cadres of National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) surrendered before Director General Police VS Yadav at police headquarters in Agartala on Thursday.
The cadres deposited two AK-56 rifles, one bayonet, four magazines, 119 live cartridges, one wireless handset and 1.5 lakh Kyat (the currency of Myanmar), equivalent to Rs 8,168.53.
Yadav said that facing acute food and financial crises in their camps in Bangladesh four out of the top ten NLFT outfit commanders have laid down arms.
The DGP said that those who surrendered were identified as NLFT s self-styled deputy chief of army staff, Kukila Tripura alias Yarung, assistant foreign secretary, Rathan Kalai alias Reuben, assistant organising secretary, Joy Sadhan Jamatia alias Jara and Information secretary, Madhu Ranjan Noatia alias Yafung.

Four extremists of the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) laid down arms before Director General of Police (DGP) V.S. Yadav at the police headquarters here on Thursday.
They deposited two AK-56 rifles, live ammunition, a wireless set and 1.5 lakh in Myanmar’s currency (Kyat).
The surrender occurred a day after militants released three men kidnapped from a border fencing construction site in Dhalai district.
Police said Ratham Kaloi alias Reuben, Joy Sadhan Jamatia alias Jara, Madhu Ranjan Noatia alias Yafung and Kukila Tripura alias Yarung had undergone training in Myanmar and held different self-styled positions in the militant group.

Agartala, Dec 24 : Terrorist outfits in Tripura are facing serious fund crisis and manpower shortage, forcing their cadres to return to the mainstream by deserting the extremists groups, Tripura Director General of Police (DGP) V.S. Yadav said on Thursday.
The police chief said that the hostile situations in their outfits and hideouts forced four top National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) terrorists, who were trained at a camp in Myanmar, to surrender on Thursday and deposit some sophisticated arms and ammunition.
