Munyaradzi Chikovore is alleged to have been killed by his girlfriend Melody Munyaradziâs ex-husband Samson Muzivirwa.
Reports indicate that sources say Muzivirwa was demanding his lobola back while attacking his ex-wife when the deceased was caught in the crossfire.
It was also reported that on the fateful day, Chikovore and Munyaradzi were seated at a Church of Christ building at Svuure Business Center when the latterâs ex-husband arrived.
Muzivirwa is alleged to have attacked his ex-wife first on the head and arm with an iron bar while demanding a lobola refund before she escaped and sought refuge nearby.
In a disturbing development, a young man from Mucheke in Masvingo was found by a passerby hanging from a tree with earphones plugged in his ears.
Lloyd Chimene allegedly used tree bark to hang himself. He was found hanging behind Ndarama High School at 1 am yesterday.
Chimene had earphones plugged into his ears when his body was found.
Masvingo Police spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the case. He said he was still to get the full facts as the circumstances surrounding his death are not clear.
Meanwhile, a source privy to the incident suspects that Chimene who had a quarrel with his mother over a missing US$5 note a few days earlier was abusing drugs.

ZIMBABWE cops have summoned Great Zimbabwe University acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor Munyaradzi Manyanga over stolen chickens. He’s accused of stealing 150 chickens from the college’s caretaker.
The caretaker and her family were away attending a funeral when Manyanga allegedly broke into their home and stole the chickens.
According to
AfricaPress.net, the angry caretaker reported the theft to the police, who visited the scene of the alleged crime and took statements, pictures, and videos as part of their evidence.
Masvingo police spokesman Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa said investigations into the alleged offence were underway.
