Mangaluru: The delay in the arrival of KSRTC buses deployed for poll work resulted in many students who depend on the state-run transportation service.
Mysuru: The fight for seats in ordinary KSRTC buses following the introduction of the Shakti scheme is now adding to the woes of those who travel with.
KSRTC Buses: Students, from high school, PU, undergraduate, and studying other courses in rural areas, from the above taluks, had been complaining about skeletal bus services. Students travelling to schools and colleges were inconvenienced, after the state government rolled out the Shakti scheme.
Protests are taking place in Karnataka against the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. The bandh call has led to the arrest of over 50 people, and the police have designated Freedom Park as the sanctioned location for protests in Bengaluru. The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation buses are operational, but fewer people are using them due to the bandh. The government has assured that the buses will continue to run.
