Two minor boys, aged 11 and 12, were found dead in a pit filled with water while hunting hares in Gomangalam near Pollachi. The incident occurred when the boys slipped and drowned in the pit. The police have launched an investigation into the tragic incident.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has installed additional road safety signage near a diversion point of Rasulgarh flyover from Vani Vihar side on National Highway-16 for the protection of road users. This portion of NH-16 has become accident-prone due to railway overbridge (ROB) construction. RVNL has been asked to put up the reflectors and signboards and complete the ROB work in one month.
