A man who previously posed at a Wu-Tang Clan member so he could stay in luxury hotels has been sentenced to 7 years in prison.
Aaron Barnes-Burpo of Florida admitted to posing as a member of the rap group to defraud hotels for their free services.
“For several weeks, these men defrauded multiple businesses by posing as famous musical artists and their retinue,” the Acting U.S. Attorney Estes explained. “Thanks to an alert hotel clerk, their phony hit parade came to an abrupt halt.”
According to legal court documents, Barnes-Burpo and his co-defendant, Walker Washington, admitted that they “falsely portrayed themselves as affiliated with the Roc Nation production company and the hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan as early as September 2019, and used those fictitious representations along with fraudulent and stolen credit cards to rent luxury limousines and defraud hotels, caterers and production studios of thousands of dollars in goods and services in

Over the weekend a bottle of JAY-Z’s D’USSÉ sold for $52,000 during its first appearance at Sotheby’s auction.
“Bottle Number 1” is a limited edition diamond-shaped bottle of D’USSÉ with 24 karat gold leaf wrapping on the neck, and includes D’USSE’s signature Le Croix de Lorraine symbol, with an engraved signature from part-owner Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter.
Proceeds from the sale of the bottle will go to the Shawn Carter Foundation in support of the development and entrepreneurship workshops designed for college alumni.
The remaining bottles of the 1969 Anniversaire Limited Edition by Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter and D’USSE will be available for $12,000 in select cities.

A former student by the name of Steven Nava helped raised more than $27,000 for his 77-years-old substitute teacher Mr. Villarruel who has been living out of a car.
According to Nava, he created a GoFundMe page after he found out his former teacher was sleeping in his 1997 Ford Thunderbird LX.
“Every morning/ night I’ve always noticed this older man that would stay out in his car constantly at this parking lot near my house even when the weather was bad. He looked familiar and I’m sure a lot of y’all have had him as a substitute in Fontana,” Nava shared on social media.

It s official Kid Cudi has been tapped to perform on Saturday Night Live next month.
On April 10, Carey Mulligan will host the late night show and Kid Cudi will take the stage as the musical guest. Louisville native, Jack Harlow will also appear on SNL later this month on March 27. If u know me, u know SNL is a huge dream of mine, Kid Cudi tweeted. This is huge. Cannot friggin wait!
