Hickory Farms and other temporary retailers have cropped up in the Southlake Mall for the holiday season, offering Christmas ornaments, meat and cheese baskets and other gifts.
Long lines snaked outside Region stores before they opened Friday, including the Menard s in Schererville and the JCPenney and Macy s at the Southlake Mall in Hobart.
