“Our lives will never be the same. It has been four very long years, and these cases are unresolved and open for investigation,” said Nancee Bennett in a statement posted to the Lumberton Police Department’s Facebook page on Sunday.
Bennett’s daughter is one of the women discarded by a killer in a neighborhood on Lumberton’s east side.
On April 18, 2017, the bodies of Kristin Noel Bennett, 32, and Rhonda Jones, 36, were found on the same day less than a block apart.
