rescue me it was a rescue one mother in colorado never thought would happen. she was trapped in a wrecked car nearly an entire week after plummeting 14 stories down a mountain embankment. clayton sandell has her amazing story of survival. reporter: kristin hopkins is adjusting to her new reality without parts of her legs. her car plummeted off this colorado mountain road april 27th, crashing upside down. i just remember waking up the next morning. i was laying on the roof of the car because the car had flipped. the first thing that came to my mind is oh, my god i have to pick up my kids. it s a school day. reporter: her car, hundreds of feet off the road was hidden. i noticed my feet were kind of not the right color or size or anything. so i knew obviously those were hurt. reporter: help was not coming. when i was upset i would try to smash the windows with the snow scraper to break out and i couldn t. did you have any food, any water? the only thing i ha
