A woman who was allegedly kidnapped from a car dealership in Phoenix, Arizona was rescued in northern Arizona after she alerted a customer at a gas station to "call 911" in a written note
The woman, who was not named, is said to have been snatched at a Phoenix car dealership early Monday, before being driven more than 150 miles overnight night by Jacob Wilhoit, 41.
Jacob Wilhoit, 41, was arrested and charged with harassment, aggravated assault and kidnapping after police tracked him down with the woman in his van.
An Arizona woman was saved from an alleged kidnapping by passing a note to a gas station customer that said to call 911, authorities said. Around 5 p.m. PT on Tuesday, while at a gas station in Seligman, Arizona, the woman slipped a note to another customer that said "help" and "call 911" and included a description of the van she was traveling in, where they were headed and a phone number, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, which released a photo of the note. The customer called 911 and provided responding Yavapai County Sheriff's deputies with a description of the woman and man she was with and the direction they were traveling on Interstate 40, authorities said.
