2022 Three-star athlete Tyrell Henry commits to Michigan State

Henry becomes the first player from Michigan in the Spartans’ 2022 class and joins offensive linemen Gavin Broscious (Arizona) and Kristian Phillips (Georgia). Henry, listed at 6-foot-even, 160 pounds, plays at Roseville High School, just about 90 miles away from Spartan Stadium. He is listed as an “athlete,” playing on both sides of the ball in high school, as well as special teams, but Henry projects as a wide receiver at Michigan State. Wide receivers coach Courtney Hawkins took the lead in his recruitment. With a relatively young group on the roster heading into the 2021 season, Michigan State does not currently have a wide receiver committed in the 2021 class prior to National Signing Day on Feb. 3. That position is essential for the 2022 season, and look for the Spartans to likely add multiple wide receiver recruits in that cycle.
