On this installment of The Weekly, we check in with home builder Kristi Allen about The House That SHE Built, which may be the first home in the nation built by an all-women skilled-labor team.
The Utah Chapter of the NAHB Professional Women in Building s project is slated to be shown in the 2021 Utah Valley Parade of Homes.
The House That SHE Built features work from women-owned construction companies, skilled tradeswomen, engineers, designers, architects, and an all-women labor team. Many of the materials for the project have been donated, so profits will be split amongst several charities aimed at assisting women escaping domestic violence and further diversifying the construction industry.
