Dover educators get $30,000 in SEED grants to help students learn

DOVER Seacoast Educational Endowment for Dover, a nonprofit organization dedicated to lifting academic excellence in the city s public schools, recently approved approximately $30,000 in grant awards to teachers and administrators across the district.
The largest grant award went to Dover Middle School’s Amie Hinkley and Deb Jacobs. SEED will provide $10,000 to purchase 30 student-devices equipped with Google Expeditions. This immersive education app allows students to take a virtual field trip to any place in the world, at any time in history. Purchased through Best Buy Education, the funding includes allowances for a charging cart, Geek Squad White Glove service, Geek Squad 24/7 support, and nine months of professional development.
