Domestic crude oil production continues to grow, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said in its April Short-Term Energy Outlook, released April 9. In 2023, U.S. crude production averaged 12.9 million barrels per day and is forecast to increase to 13.2 million bpd this year and to 13.7 millio.
Hilcorp Alaska has been trying to reach gas reserves in the North Trading Bay unit by sidetracking wells from the Monopod in the Trading Bay unit, but so far without success.

Cook Inlet natural gas volumes averaged 206,568 thousand cubic feet per day in February, down 10,117 mcf per day, 4.7%, from a January average of 216,684 mcf per day and down 7.1% from a February 2023 average of 224,618 mcf per day.
