A St. Johns County commissioner filed a federal lawsuit on Wednesday against her fellow commissioners after they accused her of unlawfully campaigning during a public meeting.
More than 7,400 St. Johns County residents who work in education, healthcare and law enforcement are unable to afford a home in the county, according to a study presented on Tuesday to the St. Johns County Board of Commissioners.
After 20 years with the same two waste management companies providing trash services to St. Johns County, the county is making a big change, and the cost to residents is expected to increase $170 over the next five years.
