Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University has named María Teresa Kumar, founding CEO of Voto Latino and Voto Latino Foundation and an Emmy-nominated on-air analyst for MSNBC, as its 2022 Flinn Foundation Centennial Lecturer.

Eight Arizona State University students will head to Sacramento this summer to intern for California state policymakers and agencies. Each student received a $4,000 scholarship to intern with a variety of offices, including the governor’s office and several legislators' offices, for 10 weeks.

During Arizona State University’s undergraduate commencement ceremony on May 9 at Sun Devil Stadium, the university will confer Lonnie G. Bunch III, secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, with the honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters, and Justice Ruth V. McGregor will receive the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws.
