DC Kathua inspects Wheat Procurement Mandi Bhajwal

Apr 27, 2021 The Deputy Commissioner also inspected Facilitation/ Registration Counter established by Department of Agriculture and FW at the Mandi site. Interacting with Farmers and Contractor, the DC passed on spot instructions to the authorities for making hassle free procurement and arrangements along with all logistic support. The instructions were also issued for the proper monitoring of weighing machines to avoid any error. The Deputy Commissioner directed the Chief Agriculture Officer to liaise with Metrology Department and conduct surprise monitoring of weighing Machines. He also stressed on uniformity in fixation of cleaning rates at the procurement centres across the district. Pertinently, for the smooth procurement of the Wheat produce, 7 Procurement Mandies have been opened in the district at Channi, Bhajwal, Nagri, Kundechak, Palli, Marheen and Padyari, where Department of Agriculture and FW has deputed sufficient staff to facilitate farming community.

Image Source: IANS News Gurugram, March 4 : A step father, reportedly facing severe financial problems and a domestic dispute, threw his children and wife into a canal in Uttar Pradesh (UP) on February 27 resulting in the deaths of two children while his wife was saved by passersby, the police said on Wednesday. According to the police, the bodies of two children, 6-year-old Tohida Khatoon and 1-year-old Ankur were recovered from a Merut Canal in UP after two days search operation on Wednesday. The woman Saira alias Rajni stated in her police complaint that she had married Sonu, who is a resident of Bhangrola village in Gurugram after a death of her first husband. She had two children from her first marriage.
