The town of Oakland received more than a dozen applications from residents eager to fill Seat 3 on the Town Commission, vacated when Sal Ramos ran for mayor in the March 19 election.
“Affordable housing is needed not just in West Chester, Coatesville, Kennett Square or Phoenixville, but also in other places, like Chester Springs,” said Keller, the executive director of Orion Communities, an organization that serves housing needs in the county. “We need to be able to allow people to live in the communities in which they work. It can’t all be pushed someplace else.”
