More on that story in just a moment. But first, lisa is here with the weather. Hey, good morning to you. We had our cooldown yesterday. That does continue. So, if you like, that fall feel, i think youre going to like the next couple of days. Certainly the weekend theres a look at live doppler seven where there is a system to the north and west of us and that has set up a stronger onshore flow, a deeper marine layer. So we are cloudy to start out. Temperatures are in the low 60s in oakland and hayward, a little muggy out there. Its certainly not cool. But as we look outside, youll notice that it is dark out there and well see temperatures stay in the 60s through 9 00, noontime. Were in the 70s inland, elsewhere mid 60s to upper 60s. And by the afternoon low to mid 80s for our warmest inland valleys. Its a bit below average and well have those breezy winds as well. So well talk about the second half of the weekend and whether or not this cooling trend stays around for the last week of su
In just a moment. But we begin with the weather and lisas here with a cool down this saturday. Yes, thats right. But, you know, its still going to be pretty nice. Were looking at the low clouds and fog all throughout the bay area due to a system off the coast. We go in closer and the fog has moved inland. And so we all are starting out pretty gray just like this in the city. The Golden Gate Bridge here, 61. It is 63 in oakland, 64 in mountain view, san jose is in the 60s. And view here from emeryville where numbers are in the upper 50s in the north bay fog not much of a problem but we have had a little bit of mist and drizzle and finally in santa cruz we have sun on the way. Its going to be afternoon sun. And so thats going to allow for less heating, a little breezy, good air quality, a few temperatures near 80 inland later on today. But clouds will linger at the shoreline. Stephanie. Lisa, thank you. Well, here at abc7, we are working to build a better bay area as a part of those effo
And the night market in sunset might just be the biggest one yet. Abc7 News Reporter tim johns was there food shopping and music were all present in San Franciscos sunset district friday for the first time ever, the neighborhood hosting an asian inspired night market. Night markets bring people together. They make streets safer. They give a boost to small businesses. Supervisor Joel Engardio is the man who brought the market to life. He says he got the idea after visiting similar night markets in taiwan on a normal friday night. The streets of the sunset can be pretty quiet, but as you can see, thanks to the new night market, they are very much alive. I love it. Ive never seen anything. I grew up here in the sunset and this is the first ive ever seen a night market happen. So its really special. Paula mak says she thinks events like this are exactly what the city needs to combat its struggling image, not just for local residents, but also for small businesses, many of whom said the mar

Good morning, everyone. Im reena ninan. And im ryan smith in for t. J. Holmes. We begin with breaking news out of washington state. At least one person has been killed after an ice cave collapsed. The body of a hiker is still inside the big four ice caves. Crews hope to recover it today. At least five other people were injured at the popular hiking site, one in critical condition. Rescue efforts were delayed for nearly 45 minutes because of poor cell phone reception in the area. This past weekend one visitor captured a collapse at the same ice cave.
