Bangladesh would progress more if BNP would not do negative politics: Hasan

DHAKA, March 3, 2021 (BSS)- Sharply criticizing BNP leaders’ recent comments, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today said Bangladesh would have achieved far more success and would go a long way if there had not been any negative politics of BNP.
“The whole world including India and Pakistan realized that Bangladesh is moving ahead. But, you (BNP) could not realize it,” he said, addressing a memorial meeting at an auditorium of Jatiya Press Club (JPC) in the capital.
Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote (BSJ) organized the meeting in memory of its late vice president, eminent actor and Freedom Fighter ATM Shamsuzzaman.

He was buried at Jurain Graveyard following second namaz-e-janaza after Asr prayers at Sutrapur Mosque.
The first namaz-e-janaza of noted actor ATM Shamsuzzaman was held at Narinda Pir Shaheb Mosque in Dhaka.
Earlier, the body of the eminent actor was taken to Sutrapur Community Centre where people from all walks of life paid their last tribute.
The eminent actor breathed his last around 9:00am, his daughter Koyel Ahmed said.
He was 79.
Earlier, he was admitted to Asgar Ali Hospital in Gendaria on February 17 with breathing problem and he returned home on Friday.

Ekushey Padak and National Film Award winning actor A T M Shamsuzzaman was hospitalised after suffering from breathing problems. He was taken to Asgar Ali Hospital in Gendaria on February 17, for treatment. He tested negative for Covid-19. The actor has now returned home.
