Non-functioning ITIs to be wound up : Moatoshi

Nagaland: Advisor Moatoshi Longkumer visits ITIs, employment exchanges

DIMAPUR Advisor of Labour and Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Excise, Moatoshi Longkumer, embarked on a tour of districts to assess the industrial training institutes (ITI) and employment exchanges in the state. The tour was aimed at identifying potential issues and shortcomings in the functioning of those establishments and finding ways to improve their performance, an official bulletin stated. On May 22, the advisor accompanied by additional secretary and ex-officio director of ESDE, Kovi Meyase, and other officials of the department carried out the first leg of the tour to Peren, Chümoukedima, and Dimapur districts. Longkumer inspected the ITI in the three districts and interacted with several key personnel such as officers from the District Employment Exchange and Rural Employment Bureau, as well as the principals and instructors of the ITI.
