West African gold explorer Golden Rim Resources (GMR) has begun diamond drilling at the Kouri Gold Project in Burkina Faso
All up, 10 diamond holes will be drilled on the high-grade Diabatou Gold shoot to test for depth extensions beneath the mineral resource pit
Infill drilling will then be undertaken to test the upper portion of the gold shoot and upgrade the mineral resource of 50 million tonnes at 1.3g/t gold
Diamond drilling is planned to take a month to complete and results are expected in April
