Around 300 people were rescued from a passenger vessel that ran aground off Barangay Kaongkod in Madridejos, Bantayan Island in northern Cebu. The Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) 7 has suspended the ship’s operations and will also conduct an investigation to determine its seaworthiness.
