What a way to close out a season.Â
âChapter 16: The Rescueâ was equally exciting, nerve-wracking and heartbreaking. Needless to say, I was on the edge of my seat for the entire 45-minute episode.Â
The chapter begins with Slave I in pursuit of an Imperial Lambda shuttle with Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi) as its passenger. Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) expertly hits it with an ion cannon, disabling the ship. Mando (Pedro Pascal) and Cara Dune (Gina Carano) board the shuttle to take Dr. Pershing and get details on how to infiltrate Moff Gideonâs (Giancarlo Esposito) light cruiser.
I loved seeing action from the get-go because I knew this was going to be a legendary episode. Even the theme song introducing the title card was on a grander scale, portraying that this would be an awesome finale for season 2.

The Mandalorian. And also the final season of
Game of Thrones, but that was a million years ago, right? (Edit: It was last year.)
The season finale of
The Mandalorian dropped just three days ago, but fans are already speculating what season three has in store for Mando and his tiny green boy Grogu. The finale saw Din Djarin aka Mando (Pedro Pascal) team up with his fellow Mandalorians, Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) and Koska Reeves (Sasha Banks) as well as Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) to rescue Grogu from the clutches of Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito).
The second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian has come to an end, and the season featured some exciting new characters, many being more Mandalorians. In Chapter 11: The Heiress, fans were introduced to the live-action version of Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) who was joined by Koska Reeves (Sasha Banks) and Axe Woves (Simon Kassianides). After the episode aired, Kassianides took to social media to express his excitement over being in Star Wars. I can say nothing here that would do justice to the magnitude of this moment for me, he wrote. Now that the season is over (and Kassianides has his own Twitter emoji), the actor has taken to Instagram to share his gratitude for getting to be a part of the series.
