Belarus, Uzbekistan sign action plan on cooperation in ICT

MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) - The Communications and Informatization Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan signed a plan of measures to develop cooperation. The document was signed by heads of the two departments during a working meeting on 31 May, BelTA learned from the website of the Communications and Informatization Ministry of Belarus.
Communications and Informatization Minister Konstantin Shulgan and Minister for Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan Shuhrat Sadikov discussed issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in information and communication technologies (ICT) between the departments and signed a corresponding action plan (road map).

MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) - TIBO is an event for everybody, Belarusian Communications and Informatization Minister Konstantin Shulgan said at the opening of the 27th installment of the international information and communication technology forum TIBO 2021, BelTA has learned.
TIBO 2021 is an event for everybody: IT professionals, managers, businessmen, ordinary citizens. The exhibition is for those who want to know how an ID card works, what public services can be obtained on the internet, to discuss how quickly technologies will be assimilated and what they will look like tomorrow, Konstantin Shulgan said.
According to him, visitors to the exhibition will have an opportunity to see and test digital innovations, get acquainted with the technologies of smart cities, smart technologies of doing business, education of the future.
Digital transformation hailed as sustainable, irreversible in Belarus
MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) - In Belarus, digital transformation has become sustainable and irreversible, Belarusian Communications and Information Minister Konstantin Shulgan said as he opened the international forum #GBC in Minsk on 28 April, BelTA has learned. A lot has already been done to ensure that digital transformations in our country become sustainable and irreversible. First, I would like to note that the e-government platform has been modernized and now offers more opportunities in terms of electronic services for households and business, the minister said.
The e-government platform will continue to be improved, the minister said. It is, in his opinion, a universal mechanism that will usher in a completely different era of electronic communication between the state, man and business in Belarus.

MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) - Belarus has been gradually embracing the smart city concept, Belarus Communications and Informatization Minister Konstantin Shulgan said at the forum “Smart Sustainable Cities: Organizational and Technical Aspects of Development” in Minsk on 16 March, BelTA has learned. We have moved from theory to practical implementation of the smart city concept. For example, in Polotsk we have offered local citizens a mobile application ‘Smart Polotsk for effective relationship between residents and the city administration. Of course, business has access too. This concept is interesting for all categories. These issues will be in the spotlight of the forum which will suggest recommendations that we will implement in our lives in the future, Konstantin Shulgan said.
