Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) has appointed Jon Hiscock as the new head of production and industrial print.
Hiscock brings 24 years of experience in the print industry. Starting in print sales, followed by various roles in the industry before joining Konica Minolta in 2012 as production print specialist, progressing to regional sales manager and national channel manager for production print.

Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) has signed a partnership with Nottingham-based Focus Label Machinery, which will be offering the AccurioLabel 230 label presses complementing its own range of equipment.
‘Our new partnership with Konica Minolta brings together the product excellence and support of this highly respected manufacturer, along with our own considerable labels industry expertise,’ commented David Lee, technical sales director at Focus. ‘This partnership will open up exciting new avenues for our UK customer base looking for an affordable way to provide production digital print services alongside traditional label print solutions.’
Working in partnership with Focus also provides Konica Minolta with significant opportunities to reach a new customer base in the UK.
Labels UK supplies labels to customers in the food and drink, chemical, security, and pharmaceutical markets.
‘Our order book is full of jobs that can only be done on a digital press because customers want them printed yesterday,’ explained David Dobson, director of Labels UK. ‘We were finding it difficult to get reliable trade supply, so we decided to go into digital ourselves. This venture has been a real success for us, and some 30 percent of our business is now in digital, but we don’t want to stand still. Installing the AccurioLabel 230 was the next logical step.’
‘The whole installation process was impressively quick,’ added Steve Dobson, managing director of Labels UK. ‘The Konica team simply swapped the presses and trained the operator. We were back up and running in just three days, which is great as we really couldn’t have afforded any significant downtime.’
