The Konaje Police arrested two persons and seized 65 grams of MDMA worth ₹3.9 lakh on Sunday.
The police gave the names of the accused as Shafeeq and Altaf from Kasaragod district of Kerala.
The police said that a team led by Sub-Inspector of Police Mallikarjun Biradar acted on a tip-off and stopped a car bearing a Kerala registration number at Vijayanagar of Natekal in Manjanady village. The car was on its way to Kerala, from Melkar.
The police said that the arrested persons have admitted to procuring MDMA from a man in Kammanahalli in Bengaluru. They were using an interior road to take the drug illegally to Kerala. Apart from MDMA, the police seized the car and also the mobile phone of the accused. They were booked under provisions of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, the release said.

The City Crime Branch (CCB) on Thursday arrested seven persons and seized over 44 kg of ganja being transported into the city worth around ₹ 9.75 lakh from them.
Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar told reporters here on Friday that the CCB conducted a raid in Ullal and Konaje police limits based on a tip-off that huge quantity of ganja was being transported into the city from Telangana through Bidar. The raid resulted in the arrest of five persons initially and confiscation of about 40 kg ganja. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of two more persons and recovery of 4.63 kg of ganja.

Those who deposited unwanted material in the offering box of a daivastana in Ullal will be caught shortly, said Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar here on Wednesday.
A set of condoms and a poster with the desecrated images of Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa and his son B.Y. Vijayendra were found in the offering box of Koragajja Guligajja Daivastana, near Ullal, on Tuesday.
After visiting the spot and speaking to people managing the daivastana, Mr. Kumar told reporters that a case of hurting religious sentiments has been registered with the Ullal Police Station. A special team has been formed to trace the accused. “Hurting religious sentiments is a sad thing. Those indulging in such mischief will be caught,” he said. He asked people not to be carried way by such acts of mischief that may lead to disturbances in the city.
