Floods during heavy rains this week in Chris Hani District Municipality in the Eastern Cape claimed the lives of two people and one person is still missing.
About 75 people from Silvertown informal settlement in Komani were evacuated on Wednesday night after their homes were flooded by the rising Komani River.
Flooding has displaced hundreds of people in the town of Komani (also known as Queenstown) in the Eastern Province of South Africa. Further east, two people have died and one is missing after being swept away by overflowing rivers in Mpumalanga.
