Health dept. issues improvement notice to ice cream factory DIMAPUR In connection with the video related to the popsicle ice cream factory in Dimapur and basing on the inspection of the factory by food safety team, the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, through the state programme officer (food safety), Dr. John Kemp has issued an improvement notice to the proprietor of popsicle ice cream factory under Section 32 of the FSS Act’ 2006. It added that samples were also collected by the food safety officer of Dimapur for quality testing at state food NABL accredited laboratory. It stated a 14-day time was granted to the concerned proprietor to comply and take corrective measures as per the FSSA rules and regulations, failing which legal course of action would be initiated against the food business operator. Unidentified female body recovered DIMAPUR Dimapur Police recovered one unidentified female body, aged around 18-20 years, from the railway track at KM 260/1 (near over-bridge) on Wednesday. According to a police report issued by the deputy commissioner of police (crime) and PRO, the cause of death was suspected to be due to illness and starvation. It added that the body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post mortem examination/ examination after completion of all legal formalities.
