Dangote Group has debunked the rumours making the rounds in the media that it's responsible for the fire outbreak at the Kogi State House of Assembly in the early hours of Monday.
At least 28 employees of Dangote Group sustained gunshot and machete injuries when thugs, hunters and vigilantes sent by the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, attacked the company’s plant in the Obajana area of the state, sources reported. Crisis over the ownership of the Obajana cement plant in the state has continued to deepen between the Kogi State Government and Dangote Group as the two parties continued to lay claims to the facility.
Kogi State House of Assembly was yesterday razed by an early morning fire. The Guardian learnt that the fire started middle of the night, but security agents were able to notice it at about 7:00a.m. on Monday morning.
