COLUMBIA, Tenn. (WTVF) â Columbia Police officers arrested a man they say fired shots into a vehicle, hitting his eight-month-old child.
Officers arrested 21-year-old Kobia Eugene Lloyd Jr. Wednesday for the alleged shooting on Saturday, Feb. 20.
Police officials say Lloyd was in an altercation with a 21-year-old woman, the mother of his three children, when he shot at the vehicle she was in with the 2-year-old, one-year-old and eight-month-old.
The 8-month-old was hit in the head. The child was transported to Maury Regional Medical Center then transferred to Monroe Carell Jr. Children s Hospital at Vanderbilt by air. The child is currently listed in critical but stable condition.
