I enjoyed the ending that Endo and Kobayashi Live arrived at here. It s an ultimately tidy, earnestly goofy resolution that feels appropriate for the story It s telling.
With a plot predicated on two characters smushing two other characters together, Endo and Kobayashi Live obviously understands the thrust of a good ship.
While the anime doesn t do much of anything with Endo and Kobayashi s own story this week, it does use the device they represent effectively to elicit the desired reactions from viewers in this surrogate playthrough.
