KUALA LUMPUR: Knusford Bhd has agreed to dispose of a provisional 25,625.48 sqm of freehold land and buildings in Klang, Selangor, to Emerald Plan Sdn Bhd for RM28mil cash.
THE RM2 billion rail link connecting Bukit Chagar in Johor Baru to Woodlands in Singapore, dubbed the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link, is on track for completion by end-2026. In an emailed response to The Edge, Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp), developer and owner of the civil infrastructure for the section of the track in Malaysia, said: “As at Dec 31, 2022, the rail infrastructure has progressed at 26.11%. Construction of the depot at Wadi Hana and the Bukit Chagar RTS station is progressing well, and expected to be completed as scheduled.”

BUSINESSMAN Tan Sri Lim Kang Hoo is understood to be looking to take over Adil Permata Sdn Bhd, the company given the mandate to build a RM3.7 billion rail link connecting Bukit Chagar in Johor Baru to Woodlands in Singapore, dubbed the Rapid Transit System Link (RTS Link), sources say. “It’s a matter of fulfilling some conditions (precedents), then he will take over Adil Permata. From what we gather, it’s a done deal,” one source says. Another source from Johor says he has heard that Lim was brought in to speed things up at the RTS Link.
