FLAT LICK, Ky. A man was found dead in the Flat Lick community in Kentucky on Wednesday. Police said he was found under a small car.
They said they received a call about a man trapped under a car in the Flat Lick community at around 1 p.m. He was identified as David Howard, 37, from Pineville. The Knox County Sheriff s Department said that no foul play was suspected, but also said they were continuing to investigate.

KNOX COUNTY - A Knox County fire department, currently being investigated by multiple agencies that includes the Kentucky State Fire Commission, found itself as the subject of a local state of emergency signed by Knox County Judge-Executive Mike Mitchell on Tuesday.
The declaration comes after Mitchellâs office received official notification stating the Kentucky State Fire Commission no longer recognized the Stinking Creek Fire Department as being a fire department.

A crash involving a Whitley County school bus and another vehicle in front of Sanders Cafe left one seriously injured Monday afternoon. There were no students on the bus at the time of the crash that occurred at the intersection of US 25W and KY 830. Inside the other vehicle, a Ford SUV, was a man, woman and three juveniles. The woman was airlifted to UK Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries and the three juveniles were taken to Baptist Health Corbin for treatment of possible injuries. The roadway was shutdown temporarily after the crash. Whitley County School District released the following on its Facebook page: We are sad to report that one of our buses was involved in an accident this evening in Corbin . Thankfully, no students were on the bus and the driver is doing well.
