Hospital staff and visitors harassed by gang of youths near Whiston car park POLICE are dealing with regular reports of youths gathering near Whiston Hospital car park, harrassing staff and smoking cannabis. Last night officers released a statement saying they have been patrolling the grounds of the hospital, where staff are currently under huge pressure. There are reports of youths having taken drugs and damaged the multi-storey car park, police say. Knowsley Community Policing Inspector Peter Rexwinkel said: “We regularly patrol Whiston Hospital car park and the surrounding area due to reports of youths gathering. Damage has previously been caused, and we have also had reports of cannabis being used at the location, and staff and visitors being harassed.
