With live streaming of music events becoming a ânew normalâ, it is essential to make sure artists are paid properly for their work, says Melbourne Digital Concert Hall co-founder Adele Schonhardt.
She was speaking at a panel of Victorian arts leaders convened for Melbourneâs Knowledge Week, discussing the almost-cliched âdigital pivotâ that the performing arts industry has been compelled to embrace in the last year.

Melbourne Knowledge Week 2021 will play host to live music performances, film screenings, discussions, exhibitions and much more.
Melbourne Knowledge Week returns later this month with a sprawling program set to bring a spectrum of events to four inner-city spaces, as well as premiering a digital hub featuring 50 virtual events.
Encompassing everything from DJ sets and live music performances to discussions tackling topics relating to science, technology and sustainability, this year’s program promises something for everyone.
