Washington: Republican Senator Mitch McConnellâs openness to convicting Donald Trump in a US Senate impeachment trial is a seismic signal to his caucus that could prod other Republicans to break with the President in the coming days and weeks.
While McConnell has remained largely silent since last weekâs riot of the US Capitol, those close to him have anonymously conveyed through media reports that the outgoing Majority Leader is ready to wash his hands of Trump and that he sees the impeachment process as a ready-made solvent.

tonight, the president s decision to call omarosa a dog is not new or very surprising. his article is entitled in part, trump has a long history of using canine insults to dehumanize enemies, which led us to this brief reminder. we have a dirty dog like that who s no good, who s a failure. they were fired like dogs. you ve got rubio doing poorly and he sweats like a dog. i m watching marco sweat like a dog. now romney choked. he choked like a dog. was choking like a dog. choke like a dog. mitt romney couldn t run for dogcatcher. hillary clinton couldn t be elected dogcatcher. i m watching television, and i see her barking like a dog. she is barking like a dog. what was that? is that a dog? phil rucker has nicely agreed to stick around this late to talk to us about this topic. phil, we just hope none november
obviously, it s a question mark, especially considering we don t know who s been given the position or in the leading positions for that position but we do know romney and rudy giuliani are right there at the top. hallie jackson outside of the trump tower for us on what a appears to be quite the dreary morning. thank you. thanks, buddy. jury selection under way in the trial of the man charged in last year s charleston church shooting. the judge ruling yesterday that the suspect dylan roof will be allowed to represent himself in court. the implication of that ruling. we continue to follow breaking news in tennessee, that inferno burning through the smokey mountain town of gatlinburg, forcing mass evacuations there. my business was built with passion. but i keep it growing by making every dollar count. that s why i have the spark cash card from capital one. with it, i earn unlimited 2% cash back on all of my purchasing.
