A brother band that actually has brothers in it! The Cooper Brothers: Southern rock from the north! In the early 70’s Brian and Dick Cooper, along with their friend Terry King, put together a band that embraced the southern rock sound of bands like Lynryd Skynrd and the Allman Brothers. Les Emmerson of the Five Man Electrical Band produced their first album, which was a comfortable, and welcome blend of rock and country music that was popular at the time, and scored them their first regional hits.
International fame followed a few years later when “The Dream Never Dies”, “Show Some Emotion” and “I’ll Know Her When I See Her”, all charted on the Billboard Hot 100. The Cooper Brothers continued to perform and record over the years, releasing an album just a few years back in 2017.
