Hundreds sign petition to cut speed limit on Penn Road in Beaconsfield

RESIDENTS: Current limit exceeded by far too many vehicles With local schools and “high pedestrian footfall”, petitioners are trying to make Penn Road safer for children and other road users, they said. “Too dangerous for kids crossing,” someone commented. They added: “Previous efforts to engage with TfB have failed due to a lack of support from the council. “TfB take a rear-view approach and will only do something once the number of deaths or serious incidents on the road exceeds a certain threshold. “So there have to be deaths or serious injuries take place before they do anything to prevent them happening again.”
