A CHESTER youngster s scarecrow festival has been a big hit in his village. Six-year-old Edward Napier, who goes to Dodleston Primary School, had decided he wanted to hold a local scarecrow festival after seeing them in nearby villages. With help from mum Jane Napier, more than 20 scarecrows sprung up around Dodleston thanks to the support of the local community. Local businesses were able to donate prizes including a box of bakes from Becky Bakes Chester, a large box of sweets from Sugar Rush Flintshire and Cheshire Farm Ice Cream from Dodleston Chapel Stores. A scarecrow festival was held in Dodleston.
