A man police were seeking in connection with threats made online targeting UMaine has been taken into custody.
Police vehicles were seen at Harvest Hills Animal Shelter on Tuesday afternoon. Route 302 between Denmark Road and Knights Hill Road in Bridgton was closed but reopened a little after 3:00 p.m.
Brad Rogers with our info partners at CBS 13 was at the scene. He said police took UNH student Afshin Zarechian into custody. Police responded to the area after a car matching a description of Zarechian’s vehicle was found in the area.
Fryeburg Police have taken Mr. Zarechian into custody. No word yet on any charges he may face. He is in handcuffs in the back of this patrol car and waved at me as I took these photos.
