Haley Harrison is happy to be back home, reporting in Kansas City after nearly five years on the East Coast. She joined the KMBC news team in April 2012 from NewsChannel 8/WJLA-TV in Washington, D.
Matt Flener joined KMBC-TV/KCWE-TV in March of 2013. Matt is passionate about leadership in the community and finding, writing and telling stories that give you a unique perspective on the day's events.
Jackson Kurtz is happy to be back home, reporting in Kansas City.
He joined the KMBC news team in January 2021 from WJCL 22 News in Savannah, Georgia.
Jackson grew up in Overland Park, attended Bishop Miege High School, and studied broadcast journalism at the University of Kansas. At KU, he fell in love with journalism and spear-headed news programs at the student-run TV station, KUJH-TV.
There he won accolades from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. During school he also spent time in the newsrooms of KSNT in Topeka, CBS News in New York City as an International Radio Television Society Fellow, and in the KC metro.
