COASTAL communities living along Port Klang are warned to stay vigilant and brace for high tides as well as potential flooding next week, with sea levels expected to reach up to 5.7m.
COASTAL communities, specifically those in Port Klang, are advised to be on alert as high tides are forecast up to 5.3m at 4.38am on Friday (Oct 27) and 5.6m at 5.22am on Oct 28 and 29 at 6am with the possibility of flooding, if it coincides with rains.
SHAH ALAM: Residents in the Klang district are advised to be aware of the risk of facing an extreme high tide phenomenon that started from yesterday and will last until Nov 27, which may lead to possible flooding.
KAPAR: Sixty-two localities in the Klang district are at risk of flooding due to the phenomenon of high tide and the northeast monsoon that is occurring from now until December.
SHAH ALAM: Over RM39mil in compassionate aid (BWI) have been distributed to heads of households affected by the recent massive floods, says Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Special Tasks) Datuk Mastura Mohd Yazid.
